What we believe

You don't need to be flexible to do yoga. That's like saying you need to be clean to take a bath.

Hello, I'm Tessa

I came for my back. I stayed for the quiet.

Fifteen years ago a bad back sent me to my first class. I trained in Mysore and Bali, taught in gyms for years, and opened Ember so people could practice somewhere that feels like home.

Hi, I'm Tessa. Come ten minutes early to your first class, and I'll set up your mat with you. Nobody starts alone here.

A voice note. On a real webfolio, it's the owner's own voice.

Gentle Hatha or anything marked "all levels". Tell the teacher it's your first time.

Do I need my own mat?

No. Mats, blocks, straps and blankets are free to use.

How hot is the hot class?

About 95°F. Bring water and a towel, and leave whenever you need to.

Is there parking?

Free street parking and a bike rack by the door.
