Individual and couples therapy · in person and online

A calm place to put it down for a while.

Therapy with me is a conversation, not an interrogation. We go at your pace, and you never have to have the right words. Most people come in feeling stuck, and leave knowing their next step.

What I believe

You are not too much, and you are not too late. You're a person who's been carrying a lot, and you deserve somewhere to set it down.

Hello, I'm Ruth

Therapist, mother, gardener.

I've worked as a therapist for twelve years, first at a community clinic and now in private practice. I'm warm, direct when it helps, and I'll laugh with you when something is funny, because sometimes it is.

Hi, I'm Ruth. Reaching out is often the hardest part. If you've read this far, you've already started.

A voice note. On a real webfolio, it's the therapist's own voice.

Sample words, written for this made-up practice. Many therapists don't publish reviews at all, and that's okay.

Is what I say confidential?

Yes, with a few legal exceptions around safety that I'll explain in our first session.

How often would we meet?

Usually weekly at first, then every other week as things settle.

Do you prescribe medication?

No, but I work closely with doctors and can refer you if it might help.

Are you licensed?

On a real webfolio, the license number links to the state board's public lookup.
