Make one

hand-dyed in a garage in Harbor End

Every shirt is one of one.

Folded, tied and dyed by hand, one at a time, with colors that never come out the same twice. Find me at the Saturday market, or design your own right here.

your turn

Design your own.

Pick a fold and three colors, then hit "Dye it" and watch it spread. I'll fold and dye yours by hand to match. It'll be close, never identical. That's the point.

four steps, two days

How it's made.

1

Soak

Organic cotton soaks in soda ash so the dye bonds for good.

2

Fold

A spiral starts with one pinch and a slow twist. It takes about ten minutes.

3

Tie

Rubber bands make the white lines. Tighter means sharper.

4

Dye

Colors go on by hand, slice by slice, and bleed where they meet.

5

Wait

Twenty-four hours wrapped up. The hardest part.

6

Reveal

Rinse, untie, unfold. Every single time, I still gasp.

why by hand?

Because a machine can print a pattern, but it can't make a mistake that turns out beautiful. Every shirt here has a little accident in it somewhere, and that's what makes it yours.

Juniper smiling

hi, I'm Juniper

An art teacher with stained hands.

I started dyeing shirts with my students, then for my friends, then for half of Harbor End. Now I do it every weekend and teach a workshop once a month.

Hey, it's Juniper! Doing a family reunion, a team, a bachelorette? I'll dye a whole matching set, each one a little different. Message me and let's pick colors.

A voice note. On a real webfolio, it's the maker's own voice.

Ordered 24 for our family reunion. Everyone found "theirs" in the pile like it was meant to be.

The Okonkwo family

Washed mine forty times and the colors are still loud. Juniper's care card is gospel.

Sam, regular at the market

The workshop was the most fun I've had on a Sunday in years. I'm hooked.

How do I wash it?

Cold, inside out, on its own the first time. After that, wash with darks. No bleach, ever.

What sizes do you have?

Kids 2T to adult 3XL, plus onesies, hoodies and socks.

Can you do matching sets?

Yes: teams, reunions, weddings. Ten or more get a group price.

Do you teach workshops?

Once a month in Harbor End. Two hours, everything included, you take home two pieces.
